Microsoft Azure provides various configurations, but the most basic configuration is an Application server connected to a database hosted on Azure DB. Azure infrastructure is very good at managing the infrastructure side of the application, including redundancy, security, backups, and scaling.

Microsoft Azure also supports multiple servers with the FrontDoor load balancer. It can provide redundancy through local data centers and/or region-based VM replication. Azure also provides configurations such as Docker containers and Azure Kubernetes services.
