A given data type can be moved from one machine/environment to another by exporting and importing the data type.  Exporting the data type creates a file called “[data type name].xml”.  Using the “Import -> XML” menu item, import the exported data type:

Select the “[data type name].XML” file using the “Browse…” button and import the data type.
