sendFileToSlack Step

Description:

Send file to Slack which brings all the communication in one place.

Inputs

  • filePath – Path to the file
  • channel - Channel to send to 

Returns

  • True – step executed successfully
  • False – step failed to execute 

Usage:

To use this step, we need to configure slack information in FlowWright Configuration:

Example:

Let’s build and execute the SendFileToSlackDef example.          

  • Create a new definition called “SendFileToSlackDef”
  • Select the definition and click the “design” button
  • Drag a SendFileToSlack step from the toolbox
  • Connect the dots between the start and SendFileToSlack step

  • Click on the “SendFileToSlack” step to configure its properties
  • Configure the following values for the properties as shown on the below graphic

  • Save the workflow definition, create a workflow instance and execute.
  • Step should send file to slack.
