FlowWright Engine Services Monitor

A built-in utility to keep the FW Engine Services running.

A built-in utility is available in FlowWright v10.6.11 and later releases, keeping the application services running in Automatic mode at all times. 

The FlowWright application has eight services running on the server, with the Process and Email Engine primarily configured in Automatic mode. These services may stop unexpectedly. Using the built-in utility, the application's essential services are restarted when the utility is configured as a Windows Task activity.    

 

 

How to install and configure the utility?

The utility is located at this folder path: “C:\FlowWright\EngineServicesMonitor”

 

Open an elevated Command Prompt in Windows. Type "cmd" in the Start menu search bar, then right-click "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator". 

 

Navigate to the folder path, then use the syntax “FWEngineServicesMonitor -help” to view the installation and management options. 

 

The options to install, uninstall, shut down, and access help are shown below. 

 

Use the syntax “FWEngineServicesMonitor -install” to install. 

 

The utility tool is installed in the folder “C:\FlowWright\EngineServicesMonitor”. Use the command “FWEngineServicesMonitor” at the command prompt to view the application service status. 

 

The FlowWright application service statuses are listed below. Note: Only the service statuses running in Automatic mode are displayed. 

 

Use the Windows Task Scheduler to create a task for this utility. 

 

Configure the task to run daily, repeating every 1 hour indefinitely, as shown below. Then start the task after the configuration is complete. 

 

Let's suppose the application service running in Automatic mode is stopped manually. The FWEngineServicesMonitor utility shall restart the service as scheduled.
