REST API Log

Use this feature to review the FlowWright REST API Log information.

The FlowWright product features a System Log that records errors and information messages generated by the application. The log can be reviewed by date of occurrence or source. 

Go to Status > Logs to see the System Log. 

 

The System Log page appears as shown below. 

 

Select the “System Log” menu to access the following logs: “Audit Log, Data Access Log, Engine Log, Security Log, ETL Log, Microservice Call Log, REST API Log, and Telemetry Configuration”.

View the log table by default and display the last 10 items sorted by the CreatedOn date column. Use the drop-down menu to view the list with options. The total number of log items appears above the Search feature. 

 

A detailed stack trace of the message will be shown when you click the log messages. Use the Search text box to filter the result list. The total count of the entries is displayed. In the example below, the REST API logging is disabled. Click the “Disabled” hyperlink.

 

The page navigates to “Config Settings” for REST API logging. 

 

Set the logging enabled value to “true” and click the Save button. A confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

The REST API logging is now enabled. 

 

The Audit History has recorded this change in configuration setting.

 

View the Log by various options. 

 

View the REST API Log table by Method options. 

 

Export the System log table to XML, XLS, PDF, and SQL formats. The file is downloaded to the local system folder. 

 

Clear the REST API Log table using the 'Today', 'All', and 'Selected' options. 

 

Send the REST API Log table to the FlowWright Support team by selecting either the 'Selected' or 'All' options. 

 

Click the “download” link to generate the XML and download it to your local folder. Click the “Support Portal” link to initiate the process.  

 

The “FlowWright Support” portal page opens in a new tab, as shown in the image below. You need to enter your email to log in or sign up. Create a new support ticket, describe the issue, attach the “REST API Log” XML file, and submit the ticket. The FlowWright Support team will respond accordingly.
