Users can update the variables defined in the executing instance by clicking on the “Utils -> Update -> Variable values” menu item. This functionality will be enabled only when the process instance is in “Sleeping” status and the updated variables will be displayed after the “Sleeping” step.

The variable ”POAmount” value 200 will be updated to 4540 and this value will be displayed in variables executed after the “sleeping” step as shown below:

Similarly, the globals can be also updated by clicking on the “Utils -> Update -> Global values” menu item as shown below:

Note: In the new version 9.10, the values passed to Variables/Globals in a process instance through API are retained by default, whether the values were correct or not.
