generateJSON Step

Description:

Generates JSON using text, variables and globals

Inputs

  • jsonNodeData—JSON node information
  • varGlobalToStoreValue-- Variable/Global to store the JSON

Returns

  • True – step executed successfully
  • False – step failed to execute 

Usage:

Example:

Let’s build and execute the GenerateJSONDef example.          

  • Create a new definition called “GenerateJSONDef”
  • Select the definition and click the “design” button
  • Drag a GenerateJSON step from the toolbox
  • Connect the dots between the start and GenerateJSON step

  • Click on the “generatejson” step to configure its properties
  • Configure the following values for the properties as shown on the below graphic

  • Click on JSON node information and enter node details
