Example:

Let’s build and execute the “waitForDateTimeDef” example.

  • Create a new definition called “waitForDateTimeDef”
  • Select the definition and click the “design” button
  • Drag a “waitForDateTime” and “placeHolder” step to the canvas
  • Connect the dots between the Start and other steps, as shown above
  • Click the “waitForDateTime” step to configure its “Required” properties. Provide a name to the step. Configure the wait date and time. Click the Save button.

  • Click the “waitForDateTime” step to configure its “Required” properties. Select the time zone from the dropdown list. Click the Save button.

  • The “Logging” setting configuration is necessary for documentation and also measures the workflow progress and the percent complete. This is achieved by configuring the step state and percent fields individually, as shown in the images below. Configure the “Logging” using the following properties.

  • Save the process definition, create a new instance, and execute. Render the process instance. At the wait step, the process instance is “sleeping.” It sleeps until the configured date and time and executes the next step later.
