Process definitions have workflow step properties defined during the design phase. Users can select a process definition and export this data to a Microsoft Excel file.
On the Process Definition page, select the process from the table, then click Export > Properties.

A pop-up window appears for configuration. Select the checkbox to include Sub-workflow definitions, then click the dropdown list to choose “Step Types”.

The options list all the process steps, as shown below. Select the necessary steps using the checkboxes.

The properties of the process step are listed below.

Select the process step properties using the checkbox, then click the “Export” button when ready. The XLS file will be downloaded to your local folder.

The feature exports the selected process definition step properties to the local system folder. The Excel file containing the selected step properties is shown below:

Import process definition Step properties.
This function retrieves a process step configuration from the XLS file and replaces the current step configuration.
This feature is helpful when multiple changes to process step configurations are needed in the process definition. The process definition is first exported by selecting the Properties menu option. The XLS file contains the definition ID, step ID, item name, item description, and step configuration values. The configuration changes are then made in the XLS file and imported, overwriting the process definition.
In the example below, let's try to modify the “Milestone” step properties, specifically the “Wait Till” configuration and..

.. “Time Zone” configuration.

On the Process Definition page, select the definition from the table, then click Export > Properties.

A pop-up window appears for configuration. Select the “Milestone” step's “Wait Till and Time zone” settings. Click the “Export” button to start. The “Milestone” step configurations are downloaded to the local folder as an XLS file.

Open the XLS file and note the “Wait Till and Time zone” values.

Modify the “Wait Till and Time zone” configuration values as shown below. Then save and close the XLS file.

On the Process Definition page, select the definition from the table, then click Import > Properties.

Select the updated XLS file from the local folder, then click the “Update Definition List” button to start.

This function imports the “Milestone” process step configuration from the XLS file, overwriting the existing configuration.

Refresh the process definition design page, then go to the “Milestone” step to review the changes. As observed, the “Wait Till” configuration now reflects the new value.

As observed, the “Time zone” configuration is showing the new value.
