This function permanently removes all existing instances of the Process Definition.
Navigate to the Process Definitions page and select a process definition. You can identify the total count of instances by referring to the “Used By Instances” column. Click on the Actions - Remove Instances menu option.

A pop-up window is displayed for configuration. Click the drop-down list to view the instance status.

You can remove the instance by its “Status”. Click the drop-down list to select the status. The instance can have one of these statuses: “Completed, DebugEnded, Debugging, Error, ErrorWait, NoStarted, and Sleeping”. Click the “Remove” button to initiate the process.

Click the OK button to confirm.

The selection removes the instances, and a confirmation message is displayed in the top-right corner.

All instances belonging to a Process Definition can be removed by selecting it and clicking the “Remove Instances” menu item. If there are more than the configured threshold value, the remove instance job will execute in the background; otherwise, it will run immediately and refresh the UI.
Navigate to the Status - Status - Settings - Configuration - Application Settings. The “background process cut-off” value determines the job execution load that allows work to be done in the background.
