DMS Default folders for process instance

When the process instance is configured to use a DMS folder, the following default folders are created in the DMS for each new process instance. Look up the “Start” process step documentation to understand this configuration.

  • Forms
  • Tasks
  • Generated Documents

In the following example, based on the configuration of the process steps, the workflow definition creates tasks and form tasks, runs subworkflows and dynamic subworkflows, and generates documents to be stored in the DMS folders through its process instances.

The process instance has successfully run, and its status is "completed." This workflow has finished a task, a form task, generated and stored documents, and executed a subworkflow.

Select “Items > Documents” to open the DMS folder created by this process instance.

The DMS folder is displayed on a new page, as shown below. The default folders (tasks, forms, and generated documents) are created for the main workflow, subworkflows, and dynamic subworkflows.
