Use this step to verify the search item is contained in the list of strings.

Contains Step

Description:

This step verifies that the search item is present in the list of strings.

 

Inputs

  • stringText: Text to search for
  • listOfStrings: List of search items
 

 

Returns

  • True – step executed successfully
  • False – step failed to execute

Example:

Let’s build and execute the “containsStepDef” example.       

  • Create a new definition named “containsStepDef” and open it in Designer mode. 
  • Drag a "contains" step to the canvas.
  • Connect the dots between the “Start” and "contains" steps, as shown above. 
  • Click the “contains” step to configure its “Required” properties. Provide a name for the step, the search text, and the list of items to search in. Then click the Save button. Note: Click the "AI Predict" button for the Copilot to add new process steps that match your process description. 

 

  • The “Logging” configuration is necessary for documentation and also measures workflow progress and percent complete. This is achieved by configuring the step state and percent fields individually, as shown below. Configure the “Logging” using the following properties.

 

  • Save the process definition, create a new instance, and execute it. Render the process instance. Click the process step to view its properties. As configured, the step should search for "items" in the text and return true.
