The process instance creates and assigns tasks that require human interaction to complete. The task UI enables users to act on these tasks.

By default, the list of tasks shown for the logged-in user is sorted by date. You can toggle the task view between the “User and Instance" by clicking the filter buttons. The task table displays tasks based on the filter, with the default showing “Not Completed” tasks. Use the search text box feature to filter the task list. Use the task table refresh icon to refresh the table contents.

As an administrative user, you can view and manage these tasks on behalf of other users. You can use the Task UI to view the tasks assigned by the process instance, as shown below.

You can use the Task UI to view the tasks assigned to the User, as shown below.

Click on a selected task to view its contents. The rendered task can be completed or rejected with a comment. Users can also upload and assign files to the task using the “Attach Files” section. All attached files will be displayed below on the task page, as shown above. The task can be saved with comments indicating work in progress, which means the task is already due; in this case, the task completion date is set using the scroll bar feature. The UI for the task appears as follows. The red due date indicates the task is overdue; in this case, the task completion date is the same as the Assigned On date.

Click the (+) sign (highlighted in the red box) to expand or collapse the task details. To fully display a task, it now shows a customizable completion percentage. This percentage appears on task lists and reports, making it easy to see how much work has been finished.

Click on the "Clock" icon (highlighted in the red box) to open the "Task History" pop-up, which shows an audit log of task activity since its creation date and time.

Click on the task navigation icon to render the process instance. Alternatively, you can go to Run—Process Instance, select the process instance from the table, and click Render.
