Re-assign Tasks

Learn to re-assing tasks as a Manager

This is an administrative function, and FlowWright Admin Users are authorized to reassign tasks from one user to another. 

You need to go to the Engage - Tasks - Re-Assign page.

 

The Re-Assign Tasks page is rendered as shown below. 

 

You should select the first user from the drop-down list. The open tasks are shown in the table. Then, you need to choose the assignee from the second drop-down list. 

 

Choose a task from the table and click the Re-Assign Tasks button. You can use the search box to filter the task list. 


A pop-up window appears for configuration. Check the box to send email notifications to the task owner and the target user. Then, click the Re-Assign Tasks button to confirm. 

 

The selected task has been re-assigned, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.

 

 

Re-assign tasks for process definitions.

A process definition can assign multiple tasks to a user through a process instance. You can use this feature to select a process definition and reassign all tasks among users involved in this workflow. 

Navigate to the Engage > Tasks > Re-Assign > Actions > Definition page. 

 

Select the process definition from the drop-down list. Choose the user whose tasks need to be reassigned from the list. Then select the other user to whom the tasks will be assigned. Click the “Re-Assign Tasks” button. The tasks are reassigned, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

 

Re-assign tasks for process instances.

A process definition can assign multiple tasks to a user through a process instance. You can use this feature to select a process instance and reassign all tasks to the users involved in that instance. 

Navigate to the Engage > Tasks > Re-Assign > Actions > Instances page. 

 

Consider a sleeping process instance. Here, tasks assigned to users can be reassigned to other users for any steps that haven't been executed yet. Use the following screen to reassign users for non-executed steps of a process instance.
