Routing For User Selection Within FlowWright

Learn to use user selection route step

Last published at: April 18th, 2024

FlowWright provides several different task routing steps.  Now, we have added a new “Route for user selection” task step.  A task can now be configured for multiple user selections, and once a task is routed then it will appear with many selections.  The selections that are made are then stored within variables, and these variables can be used with other task-routing steps in the same process flow.

Here’s an example of how to use the Route for the user selection task step:

In some processes, tasks are not directly assigned to users. This new feature lets users themselves select who to send a task to.  One customer with a "change notice approval system" uses this approach to allow document control specialists to select change notice approvers from a list so that the approval tasks are routed to the appropriate people.

There are many advantages to using this step - it allows routing processes to be dynamic. Try this new feature and let us know how it works for you!
