This feature provides a user interface for creating a new process instance, setting parameters as needed, and executing the process in normal or test mode (on behalf of another user). The Generate AI Test Data feature populates variables and globals with test data.

Use one of the following two methods.

On the Process Designer page, select “Actions > Create Instance”. The Create Instance pane appears on the right. Click “Generate” to generate an instance name. Uncheck the “Execute” checkbox, then click “Create” to generate a new process instance. Click “Generate AI Test Data” to populate the variables and globals with test data. A confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.

A new process instance is created in the background, and its status is set to “Not Started.”

On the “Process > Instance” page, select the instance, then click the “Execute > With” params menu option.

Another method is to navigate to the Process-Instance page.

Choose “Actions > Create”. A configuration pop-up window appears. Select the process definition from the drop-down list. Use the sort filter buttons to view the definition list - By Last Modified or By Name. Click the “Generate” button to create an instance name. Uncheck the “Execute” checkbox, then click the “Create” button to generate a new process instance.

Select a process instance, then click the “Execute > With Params” menu option.

The page opens in a new tab. Set the execution time using the “Calendar” control. Also, schedule the process instance for a later date. Select “user” from the Test Mode drop-down list. Set the priority by clicking the “High, Medium, or Low” button.

Click the “Generate AI Test Data” button to populate variables and globals with test data.

Click the “Execute or Execute in Test Mode” button. The process instance runs in the background, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. The input parameters and their values are displayed on the page for verification.

The process instance status is “NotStarted” because it is scheduled to run on a later date.
